Winter market on campus

At the winter market around the new student union building on December 4, 2025, from 4 to 9 p.m., you will have the opportunity to escape the hectic everyday life of the pre-Christmas period. Student initiatives, institutions, and student councils have agreed to participate in the winter market. In addition to mulled wine, candles, children's punch, waffles, and barbecue food, there will also be a stage program.

Big knowledge for little people!

The Children's University team is looking for interested individuals who would like to give a lecture at the Children's University. Children's University lectures are usually held quarterly on a Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Speakers are still needed for February/March 2026, for May 31, 2026, for the Volksstimme Pusteblume Children's Festival, and for December 2026. Please direct any questions or feedback to Anne Rudolph.

Organizing a lecture series together

In the summer semester of 2026, another interdisciplinary lecture series on “Transformation and Sustainability” is to take place. Teachers from all disciplines are invited to contribute their topics. Please submit your proposals related to sustainability/transformation to Juliana Hilf by January 9, 2026.

Legal certainty in research and cooperation

As export control officer, Katrin Bombitzki supports researchers and administrators in ensuring that international projects are conducted in a legally compliant manner. She advises on cooperation, training, and compliance issues, particularly with regard to dual-use technologies and sensitive research materials.

Rector signed the book of condolence

Raila Amolo Odinga, long-time opposition leader in Kenya and graduate of our university, has passed away at the age of 80. Rector Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Strackeljan signed the book of condolence at the Kenyan Embassy in Berlin.
