Start of teaching evaluation

From December 1 to 19, 2025, online surveys will once again be conducted among students to gather their feedback on their courses. As usual, all courses offered by the faculties of Natural Sciences, Process and Systems Engineering, and the Language Center will be evaluated this semester—however, all other instructors are also welcome to register for an evaluation.

Access to the campus is possible again

The campus can now be accessed and exited by car via the central entrance from Hohenstaufenring. The entrance along Building 22 remains closed. The temporary entrance and exit on Pfälzer Straße, which was set up during the complete closure, is now once again reserved exclusively for construction vehicles. Due to the ongoing construction work on campus, we ask that you strictly observe the traffic regulations, in particular the required walking speed for vehicles, and continue to show mutual consideration.

Holiday planning for the coming year is in full swing. To help you plan your 2026 holiday calendar through to the end of the year, here are the dates for the Christmas and New Year 2026/2027 holidays, which include three working days: From December 24, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the buildings, including the computer center and library, will be closed.

Export Control Officer Katrin Bombitzki

Legal certainty in research and cooperation

As export control officer, Katrin Bombitzki supports researchers and administrators in ensuring that international projects are conducted in a legally compliant manner. She advises on cooperation, training, and compliance issues, particularly with regard to dual-use technologies and sensitive research materials.

Rector signed the book of condolence

Raila Amolo Odinga, long-time opposition leader in Kenya and graduate of our university, has passed away at the age of 80. Rector Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Strackeljan signed the book of condolence at the Kenyan Embassy in Berlin.
